A dungeon here is not a room everybody shares. When your party walks in, you get your own copy of it. Nothing has been cleared out from under you, nobody is camped on the stairs, and what is down there is yours to deal with.
Who to talk to
Warden Aleth stands on Aeven's main street, a few paces from where every new character arrives. Right click him and take the Dungeons entry, and he will show you what is open and whether you are ready for it.
He will not offer you something you cannot do. If you are too low, or there are too many of you, he says so at the door rather than letting you find out at the bottom of it.
What is open
The Flooded Cellar. One room, ankle deep, and more rats in it than anybody wants. Level 5 and up, on your own or with a couple of friends. It is short, and it is the one to learn on.
The Ancient Crypt. Three floors under the old chapel, graves and bats on the way down, and a keeper at the bottom that the diggers stopped short of. Level 20 and up, and bring people.
Going in
Whoever is leading takes the party in and everybody goes together. There is no lobby and no queue.
Clear the floor and the way on opens. Until then the exit will not let you through, so if the stairs are refusing you, something in the room is still breathing. Look in the corners.
Getting out
There is a Leave button at the top of the screen for as long as you are down there. Press it and you come back out where you went in, and so does everybody else when they leave.
If your connection drops, you have a short while to get back in before the floor gives up on you. Come back another day and start it again: nothing is spent by walking away.
What you get for it
Experience, whatever the things down there were carrying, and something extra the first time you finish one. The party is paid after everybody is back on the surface.
Bring somebody who can put health back on, if you know one. It is not required, and you will notice the difference.
