Ask somebody along
The invitation is the party. It exists the moment somebody says yes, and it is gone the moment there is one of you left.
Up to a dozen of you, and everybody's health sits over their head from then on: a name, a level and a bar, and nothing else in the way. You can see who is in trouble from across the street without opening anything.
What you kill is shared out, so nobody has to stand back and let somebody else land the last blow. If you would rather keep your own, the leader can turn sharing off.
Everything else about the group, including who is in it and who is running it, lives in the Groups panel. The frames over the world are there to be read, not to be pressed.

Put your name on something
A guild is founded in person, at the guildmaster on Aeven's main street.
Walk up to Sevrin at level thirty with 25,000 gold in your pocket, give the guild a name of three to five letters and pick one of eight crests to go with it. The name is yours for as long as the guild stands.
Invite people in and give them a rank. Officers can bring somebody in or show somebody the door; only the leader hands out ranks, and promoting somebody to the top hands them yours. Everybody in it can talk to everybody else at once, wherever in the world they happen to be.
How to start one
Four ways to say something
All of it in the same corner, on tabs you can drag bigger.
Global
Everybody, everywhere. Where you ask a question or find somebody to go with.
General
Just the street you are standing in, and it floats over your head for anyone nearby to read.
Party
The handful of people you are out there with.
Guild
Everybody wearing your crest, wherever in the world they are standing.
Want to know who somebody is? Right click them, or hold your thumb on them. You get their name, their level, their guild and how long they have been playing. What they are carrying is nobody's business but theirs.
And a few things to say without typing
Everybody on the map sees the same pose. Taking a step stands you back up.
Sit
Sit down on the ground.
Raise Hand
Raise your hand.
Point
Hold an arm out and point.
Simple Dance
Nod along and swing an arm.
Wave
Raise a hand and wave.
